    at 2578: "... Major Nathan Parsons, b. Mar. 22, 1752 (son of Oliver Parsons of Belchertown and Amy Gould), a merchant and farmer at Belchertown (1787-96), at Thomaston, Me. (1796-1806), and at Bangor, Me. (1806-23), where he d. Oct. 11, 1823, aet. 71. His first wife was Catharine Gould (dau. of Dr. David Gould of N.J., and a dau. of Gov. John Budd of N.J.). He was a revolutionary soldier from the beginning to the end of the war. He was at the battle of Bunker Hill, and at Saratoga when Burgoyne surrendered, and was quartered with Washington at Morristown, N.J."
