The Obituary of Naomi Augusta Cornelius The Birmingham News Tuesday, October 17, 1961 Page 27, Column 3 DEATHS CORNELIUS, Mrs. Naomi Agusta, age 65, of Route 2, Box 50, Pinson, Ala., passed away Tuesday morning at the residence. She is survived by the husband, John M. Cornelius, Sr.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Martha Hamer; 3 sons, W. c., G. R., and John M. Cornelius, Jr., all of Pinson; 15 grandchildren; 5 brothers, D. Ezra, M. W. Harwell, W. B., and Samuel U. Hamric; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services eill be held wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Pinson Methodist Church, the rev. John B. Haskew officiating; Interment Marvin's Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers, George Little, Esman Barner, Eugene Henderson, Doyle Good, Durwin Hamric, and Royce Hamric. Honarary pallbearers, Claude Palmer, Dr. A. S. Hutto, Percy Robertson, W. M. Little, Bruce Haygood, Sr., Dr. Robert F. Guthrie, W. E. Palmer, Frank Trucks, E. B. Herdon, Sr., and Dr. T. C. McCay. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service. Ridout's Brown-Service, Roebuck Chapel, directing.

Services were held today at Pinson Methodist Church for Mrs. Naomi Augusta Cornelius, 65, who died Tuesday at her home in Pinson. Burial was in Marvin's Chapel. Roebuck Brown-Service Chapel directing. A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Cornelius had been a resident of Pinson more than 40 years. Survivors include her husband, John M. Cornelius Sr.; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Hamer; three sons, W. C., G. R., and John M. Cornelius Jr., and five brothers, D. Ezra, M. W., Harwell, W. B., Samuel U. Hamric.
