Nancy Adeline Huss was the only daughter of a family of nine children born to George Adam Smith and Nancy Elizabeth Carter.

On December 7, 1907 Nancy married Jay B Huss. Addie and Jay had children: Wava Burnette, Clarence Oliver, and Herschel.

Addie and Jay's sister, Lucy, lived on the farm after his death until March 29, 1965 when the portion of the farm on which the farm buildings were located was sold to a granddaughter, Nancy Huss, and her husband William Noyes.

Addie and Lucy moved to William and Nancy's house in Fremont. Addie passed away at Cameron Hospital in Angola, Indiana after an illness of one week.
