[26635.ged] After Benjamin died, Nancy Mary had 3 children by Jobbing Johnson. She did not remarry. She filed for a pension with a Confederate Pension Application as the widow of Benjamin G. Johnson. Nancy Mary told her grandchildren many stores of her childhood. She was called Na Nah by them. Mancy Mary died at the home of her daughter Martha Ann in Oak Grove, Alabama. In the Jefferson County Marriage records, Nancy Mary and Benjamin are recorded as having married in 1852. It is not known which is correct. In one record, it states they were married on 1-29-1854 by Owen Franklin, Minister, D. W. Howton Security. |
