Nancy very well could have raised her in her father Amos's home and been hidden her for in the 1870 Federal Census Eliza is not listed. Born KY On the 1880 Federal Census Nancy is living with her father Amos and brother Lawson in Raccoon Twp., Parke CO., Indiana.
In 1883 Nancy moved with her father and other family members to Kansas on ox drawn wagons per the Amos Dugger Family sheet. First to Reno CO., then to Edwards CO., in the spring of 1885. Living on a farm with her father Amos and nephew James Thomas in Fellsburg next to her brother Jesse Fowler and family. On the 1895 Kansas State Argriculture Census she is living in Franklin Twp., Edwards Co., Kansas.
