Nathan left Vermont in the spring of 1801 (with cousin William and his family and the Massey family), to northwestern New York state, and settled at LeRay. source: Linda M. Farr Welch via internet Nathan served in the war of 1812 as a private in the 76th regiment (Tuttle's) of the New York Militia.
