It would appear that her parents were George and Maria E Klotz[7], and that her mother (born about 1837[6]) had previously been married to Martin Imler[8]. Some trees place Myrtle in the George Franklin and Mary Catherine Klotz family, but the ages don't match and the 1900 census indicates that Mary Catherine only had 2 children (Olive and Alpha). Since at least one such tree cites OneWorldTree, the error may have originated there.

    Her mother's status is given as "wife", but her husband is missing from the census record. It is not clear if her mother's surname (new married name) should have been Klotz.
