As cited on their family page, John Perkins Shirley and Myra married in 1857, are found in Wilmot in 1870, in Newville, Colusa County, Calif, in 1880, both with daughter Addie. In 1886, John P Shirley m. Rosina French in Colusa County, California. This is presumed to mean Myra had died by that date. John must have return to New Hampshire, as he died there in 1891.

A John M. Shirley, also born in 1832, m. 1870 Emory Elizabeth Barron and d. 1887 in New Hampshire. This is a different man.
