Muriel Anne Wardwell Atwood, 53, died July 29, 1991 in the Cascadia Park Campground in Saco, Maine. She was born June 18, 1938 in Woodstock, daughter of Glen R. Wardwell and Viola (Cowdrey) Wardwell. She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1957. She married Clifford W. Atwood Feb. 25, 1958. She worked for Sugarbush Farms in Taftsville for seven years, at F.A. Richmond¹s as a bookkeeper for four years and for 18 years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Jct., as a nursing assistant. She took classes at Claremont, N.H. Vo-Tech to become a certified Electrolic [sp?] Technician. She wrote a training film for the V.A. about diabetes that was used around the country. She was a counselor for the V.A. Hospital on diabetes. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Atwood, Woodstock; one daughter, April Anne Atwood, Woodstock; her mother, Viola Cowdrey Dimmick, West Windsor; two grand-daughters; two sisters, Loreen Clark, Etna, N.H., Marilyn Tobin, South Royalton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her father, Glen Wardwell, in 1972. -Vermont Standard, August 1, 1991
