Mildred L.(Hall) Schirf (nee Peterson), age 92, passed away on February 5, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on December 4, 1922 in Hastings, Pennsylvania to the late Axel and Hedvig Peterson. Mildred worked at Goodyear Aircraft during World War II as a Rosie the Riveter. She was a fantastic seamstress and made many outfits for her granddaughters. She also loved to crochet and knit.
Preceded in death by husbands, Charles W. Hall, Sr. and Francis Schirf; son-in-law, Ronald Ernest, Sr.; brothers, Robert and Donald Peterson and sister-in-law, Vi Peterson; she is survived children, Charles (Joyce) Hall, Jr., Patricia Ernest and Stevan (Bernadette) Hall; grandchildren, Charles Hall III, Leann (Jim) Smith, Ronald (Wendy) Ernest, Jr., and Sarah, Laura, and Stevan Hall; 6 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends.
Private family service will take place at a later date in Hastings, Pennsylvania. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
