On 22 Feb 1838 Middleton B. Keith obtained a marriage bond in Roane Co., TN to marry Nancy Dugger. There was no return showing when the marriage took place.
They were listed on the 1840 census in Roane County next to her parents and her brother Daniel R. Dugger.

Nancy died sometime before 1850. Her two children were living with her brother Albert Dugger in 1850. Middleton was in Bradley Co., TN in 1850 with another family. By 1860 he had moved to Searcy Co., AR and remarried. On the 1860 census he was next to his former mother-in-law Catherine Bailey Dugger.
Middleton remarried 21 Feb 1852 in Monroe County, Tennessee to Rachel Sands. Middleton died in Arkansas in June 1889. He is buried in Beckham Cemetery in Marion, Arkansas along with his wife, Rachel, and several family members.
