Marcoot, Enid, Oklahoma states soldier's son-in-law was Mathias Long, Virginia Revolutionary War soldier. F-W22935, R783. - * - date listed for son John Henry appears to be incorrectly listed as 8/29/1771 instead of 8/29/1791. Since Michael's wife Susannah Monger was born in 1769, a date of birth for any of their children in 1771 would have been impossible. Also the notation "(1st/o wedlock)" appears to be for their first son George who was born on 12 April 1789, which was a year before Michael and Susannah's marriage date of 25 April 1790, hence born "out of wedlock". |
