  1. 15. Mercy Pabodie, in Alden Kindred of America Genealogy Database.

"15. Mercy Pabodie (Elizabeth Alden, John) was born on 2 Jan 1649/1650 in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. She died on 26 Sep 1728.

Mercy married John Simmons on 16 Nov 1669 in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. John was born about 1651. He died before 9 Feb 1715/1716."

The will of Mercy Simmons is dated 26 Sep 1728 and so it is likely she did not "died on 26 Sep 1728". While it is physically possible that she did there is no reason to think she did when her inventory wasn't taken until 6 weeks later.

Pabodie, Mercy, d. William and Elizabeth [dup. Elisabeth], Jan. 2, 1649.
[This is clearly 1649/50 or else it is too close to Mary's birth 7 Aug 1648.]
