    Jonathan Paine m. Eastham Feb 1732/33 Marcy/Mercy Doane, "reputedly" the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Doane) Doane. Alive in 1750 when mentioned in her brother's will, which named her Mercy Paine, and is the reason she is thought to be the wife of Jonathan. She may be widow Mercy Paine who belonged to the First Church in Orleans on 2 May 1774.
