    The link to Matilda from John FitzAlan's page, until it is fixed, points in error to Maud as the daughter of Theobald Butler. This link points to the correct family, as shown by the Inq.P.M. (confirmed by Cawley)

  5. Most sources, including Cawley previously, show this as Matilda's family. However, an Inq.P.M. given by Cawley in source 4 clearly shows that Nicholas and Clementia were her parents.
