- 6 October 1738 - the Sheriff of Hunterdon Co. foreclosed on the vacated land of Mathias Kowkendall. Source: Genealogy.com
Records in Virginia
- 24 June 1742: Orange Co., Virginia Court records (parent county for part of Hampshire Co) a petition to build a road from Cos' place to James Cody's Fort on the Cap Capon. Among the signers were Mathias, Simon, John and Peter Cukingdol. [Note: this record is for Mathias and his three eldest sons Simon, John and Peter Kuykendall].
- 1749 - Lord Fairfax granted Benjamin Kuykendall 337 acres of land on the South Branch of the Potomac River, land that he had been living on for at least 10 years.
Records in North Carolina
- 29 August 1750 - Matthew and James Kuykendall entered for land in Anson Co. on Leepers Creek, which were issued on 1 April 1751.
- 14 May 1751 - Matthew Kuykendall sold his 337 acres of land in Va. to "Abraham Kuykendall son of Jacob Kuykendall"
- March 1754 Matthew Kuykendall sold his land grant of 1751 and his wife was named Mary at that time. Apparently his wife Jennetje had died and he had remarried. This is the last record of Matthew. Source: Genealogy.com
