[edit] Information on Matthias Dice•Name: Matthias DICE III •Sex: M •Birth: ABT 1731 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania 1 •Death: BET MAR AND JUL 1799 in Virginia •Burial: 1799 South Branch, Rockingham County, Virginia •Will: 19 MAR 1799 Pendleton County, Virginia •Event: Will (Proved/Probated) 2 JUL 1799 Pendleton County, Virginia •Reference Number: 12363 •Note: Matthias DICE made his will on 19 March 1799 and it was probated on 02 July 1799 in Pendleton County, Virginia. He willed 225 acres of land in "Cumberland County" (TN) to his sons Jacob and Philip, if Philip cho se to go there. He also left land in Cumberland County for which he had sent money with Saul HARPOLE, his son-in-law, to Jacob and Philip. Phil ip died in 1801 in Pendleton County and apparently did not go to Tennessee. Jacob DICE and his wife Elizabeth were living in Sumner County, Tennessee, in the part which soon became Wilson County, prior to 1800, along wi th Elizabeth's parents, John and Barbara (REAGER) CAPLINGER and Jacob's sisters Anna Christina and her husband, Solomon HARPOLE, and probably Elizab eth and her husband, Justice RULEMAN, as well as Barbara and her husband, Joseph JACKSON.
