"1609 … Matthew Webster, s. of John Webster, chr. (Cossington) 11th February."
Matthew Webster settled in Farmington, CT. and was the father of 2 children as shown by the public records. But, who he married is not known. Admitted as a freeman in Hartford, CT on Apr 10 1645 and in Farmington on Oct 12 1669. This means he was over 21 and lived in the aforementioned town at that date. From the records, it is known that he had a son, John, and a daughter. His wife's name is never mentioned. She was probably a Judd or a Woodruff, as those are the names in his will when he deeded his land over in return for the provision of himself & son, John, until his death. Nothing more is know of his son or his daughter.
