Matthew J. Getzinger, 85, of Edenville, died suddnely Tuesday May 5, 1992, at his residence.
He was born Sep 20 1906, in Toledo, OH.
He married the Former Irene Dawson Sept 19 1937. She survives.
He was employed by Autolite/Prestolite for 49 Years before retiring in 1968.
He was a member of the Catholic faith. Mr. Getzinger enjoyed fishing and hunting.
surviving besides his wife, Irene, are a son and daughter in law, William and Cheryl Getzinger of Hope; three daughters and two sons in law, Paula and Calvin Church of Midland, Jane and Michael Mattison of Kawkawlin and Elizabeth Miller of Sanford; 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a son in law Harvey Trombley of LaSalle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Joan Trombley; and one son, James Getzinger.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday May 9 1992 from Ware Smith Woolever & Co. Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St, Midland. The Rev. Father John H. Weis of St. Brigid Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday May 9 1992 in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Toledo, OH.
Mr. Getzinger's fmaily will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 5 p.m. and 7 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
