Mary Whittle's origins have yet to be established. Her only confirmed sighting is in 1953 when she married Joseph Reid, a widower from Monasterevin in County Kildare. They married in Dublin. They were only married for six months before Joseph's death, aged 65. Mary has yet to be traced after Joseph's death.
