BIOGRAPHY: Letter to Cora Whitcher (aunt of Sarah Boyd Whitcher Vickery) dated 26 October 1912 says "and she was burnt to death, July 26, 1698. Her grave stone is still to be seen in the cemetery at Haverhill." Note on Worldconnect says " Mary was a twin. She came to Haverhill with her father in 1649 and died tragically from scalding as did her son Benjamin #1. She is buried in the "Old Pentucket" burial ground." All records except letter cited first here state the date of death was July 29, 1698.
