    "Mary Smith, widow, deceased the 4: 4: 84 [June 4, 1684]."

It is not certain that this record is of the death of Mary (Thurston) Smith of Dedham and Medfield, but it is the only death of a Mary Smith, recorded in published Massachusetts Vital Records, for which the date and place are appropriate. Since Seth Smith had died in 1682, the identification of Mary Smith as a widow strengthens the probability.
