Classification: Query Surnames: Paxton / Campbell Ann, Your Mary paxton, who married John Tedford, is not the sister of Elizabeth Paxton who married Maj. Sam Houston. Your Mary Paxton was the daughter of THOMAS Paxton and ELIZABETH MCCLUNG. They would have been COUSINS. If you will contact me at lindah12@@flash .net, I will share info from the Paxton book. I have a xerox copy of the original book which was published in 1903 and is LONG out of print. I was in touvh with a used book store in Lexington , VA about 10 years ago and I believe they had a worn copy which they wanted $`25.00 I did not buy it! My copy is on archival paper and wherefore will last longer and is more legible. Will be glad to share info from it with you. I am a descendant of elizabeth Paxton's sister , Mary Isabella Paxton who married ROBERT SMITH CAMPBELL. Sincerely, Linda
