James Sharp Hawkins, aged 65 years, died at his home on the Youngstown Road, Union township, Tuesday morning at 12:15 after a brief illness.
Mr. Hawkins had been a resident of this county for about twenty years. Besides his widow, Mary McKim Hawkins he leaves one daughter, Ellen Elizabeth and one son. Frank W., of Pittsburgh. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. William S. Pattison of this city and a half sister, Mrs. Rebecca Jones of Pittsburgh and a half brother, John H. Williams of Pottsville, PA.
He was a member of the Central Presbyterian church. Funeral service will take place Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from his home. Burial in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary M. McKim Hawkins, 74, died in the Biggsville, IL Hospital on Tuesday evening at 9:30 PM after a two week illness.
A resident of Biggsville she was born in North Beaver Twp on 29 July 1880 to the late Robert and Martha McKim. She resided in this city many years and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Biggsville.
A daughter, Mrs. Ellen Liston, 3 grandchildren all of Biggsville, 2 sisters Mrs. Nancy McKinley of Mahoningtown RD 7 and Mrs. Rebecca Moore of Sewickley, PA are survivors. Her husband James Hawkins died on 14 Apr 1925.
The body will arrive in New Castle on Thursday evening at 9:30. Funeral services will be held from the Caskey Funeral Home, 101 West Madison Ave, on Saturday at 2 PM and internment in the Bethel United Presbyterian Church will follow. Rev Willard George and Rev Hugh Rose will conduct the services.
