Ellen Long was born in Butler, Ohio and resided in that village until about 1920 when she came to Loudonville to live with her daughter, Ada. She died in her daughter's house at the age of 79. Several months before her death she had fallen and fractured her hip, after which she was confined to bed. She is buried in the Butler Cemetery. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Church. Rev. H. W. Hanna, pastor of the Loudonville Presbyterian Church was in charge of the services.
