MRS. MARY M. DOUBLE

Mrs. Double was born May 15, 1845, near Ohltown, the daughter of Peter and Abeline Mahmensmith. When she was only seven years old, she moved with her parents to Indiana. In 1866 she married William Double, a Civil war veteran. They made their home only a short distance from that of Mrs. Double's girlhood, until they came to Warren from Ossian in 1901. They settled on the Phelps farm on Tod Ave., N.W., where they lived until eight years ago, when Mr. Double died.
Until last October she had participated in the things which were of most interest to her. Particularly, in the world of her church. She was kind an sympathetic and made many friends wherever she lived. She was a charter member of the United Brethren church, a member of the Women's Foreign Missionary Society, and group Two of the Lsdies' Aid. Until two years ago she taught a Sunday School class which bore her own name. She was also a member of the Dana Bush W.C.T.U.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Susie Whiteford, Canton; Mrs. Mable Schout, Cleveland; Mrs. Lockie D. Chisworth, Warsaw, Ind.; Emma F. Double, at home, and six grandchildren.
The body was removed to W. J.White's funeral home, where friends may call at any time. It will be taken home Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held there at 10:30 Monday, Rev. A.M.
