    MARY K. LYNCH - ST. ALBANS/BURLINGTON - Mary K. Lynch, 90, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, in the Franklin County Rehab Center, with her family at her side. Mary was born on Feb. 1, 1921, in Bennington, the daughter of the late Francis and Ella (Lynch) Kelley. On Aug. 28, 1946, in Bennington, she married Robert E. Lynch, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2007. Mary attended Bennington High School and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1943. For many years she was a voter registrar for Mayors Cain and Paquette Administrations in Burlington. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Ladies of St. Mark's, League of Women Voters and campaigned for the Vermont Heart Association. She also was an avid bridge player. Survivors include her three children and their families, Gail (Lynch) and Michael Dugan of Williston, Edward Lynch and Pat Blair of Churubusco, N.Y., and Nora (Lynch) and Dennis McKenzie of Colchester; her seven granddaughters, Kate McKenzie Rugg (Thomas), Amy Lynch, Tara Dugan Banks (Owen), Ellen McKenzie Cislo (Rob), Mary-Brigid Dugan Nousiainen (Markku), Molly Dugan Hoppes (Tobin), and Kelley Lynch and fiance, Tim Burke; grandson, Liam McKenzie (Corey); six great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; her brother, William Kelley (Jean) of Vestel, N.Y.; brother-in-law, John C. Lynch (Louise); five nephews, six nieces, and several cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Helen F. Kelley; and cousin, the Reverend Monsignor John A. Lynch. Mary's family would like to thank Dr. Marco and many thanks to Franklin County Rehab staff for their care and devotion shown to our mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, North Avenue, Burlington. The Reverend Marcel Rainville will be celebrant. A cremation committal will be held at the convenience of her family in Resurrection Park. Those wishing to honor Mary's memory are asked to do so with a contribution to Franklin County Rehab Center, 110 Fairfax Road, St. Albans, VT 05478.
