1831 - Mary Huston Hooke widow of James Hooke who died in 1815 Rockingham County, Virginia after selling their share of his estate, moved with children Elizabeth, Mary, James Hooke Jr., John Hooke widowed with daughter Mary Catherine Hooke, and Ann Hooke Thompson with husband Isaac and her children to Perry Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. Her son Robert Hooke and his wife and children are left in Virginia on homestead. Robert sent his two oldest children Sarah Beard Hooke aged 9 and Archibald Huston Hooke aged 7 with his mother and siblings to help care for his mother in her twilight years. They never returned to Virginia.

    Other children include Anna (1784-1870) married Isaac Thompson (1783-1844). Buried in Pyrmont Cemetery. John Hook (1792-1869) who married two women. He is buried in Pyrmont Cemetery. Also Robert Hooke (1780-1858) who remained in VA. His son Archibald (1824-18777) came to Ohio and married Bethany Mills (1828-1891). Both are buried in Pyrmont Cemetery.
    Husband James hook died in Rockingham Co., VA in 1815.
