A court record indicates one of her children, as a minor orphan, was placed under the care of Ruth HAYES, who was said to be sister-in-law of Mary.    The memorial for his wife is questionable, but the information that Richard Hudson married a widow named Mary Hayes in 1638 seems to be well accepted. Richard's memorial says she was about 30 years old at the time of the marriage.

2. ↑ Many sources say she died about 1653, but that Richard remarried in 1652. Likely she died in 1652 and there were records in 1653 pertaining to her death/estate.
