I have census transcription from unknown person that has added that Sarah Smith's maiden name was Corn and that Minerva Corn, age 56, servant, born in Georgia, parents born in North Carolina was in the household of Charles Smith. Minerva Corn is stated to be the widow of Jesse Corn, who as I recall was also murdered. The next household, dwelling #187, fam. #195 is the household of Oliver Gilreath, according to this census transcription. Need to recheck my census copy. References
