"Concord records say she [Samuel's wife Mary] d. June 18, 1678 - should be 1675, instead of 1678."
[I believe Ward meant Marlborough records, since that is where the 1678 death record is found, not Concord. Presumably this is Ward's response to the marriage of Samuel to his 3rd wife on 13 Dec 1676, and the birth of son Joseph on 16 May 1678 to "Samell Rise & Sara his wife", both events recorded in Source:Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1635-1850 on dates that precede the alleged 1678 death of Mary.]
