Identity

There does not appear to be any direct evidence that Mary Angeline Clark, the daughter of Nathaniel and Eunice Clark, was the wife of Cyrus McIlree. Her age is not consistent with that given for the wife of Cyrus. However, she appears to be the only Mary Clark of approximately the right age listed in Pike County, Indiana in the census records, and it was fairly common practice for people to understate (or exaggerate) their age.
