Mary Lou was very slender and taught first grade classes in Pampa, TX. After John's death in 1943, she traveled and sent picture postcards from various places and guava paste from Florida. She also cooked hot water cornbread and fried donuts in Pampa. She had severe arthritis in both hands. By James M.Pickett on 12/27/1998.
