  1. Harvey, William. The Visitation of Norfolk in the year 1563. (Norwich: [s.n.], 1878-1895)
    p. 161.

This source places her in the family of Sir Henry Bedingfeld (1586-1657) and Elizabeth Houghton. However, another source indicates that the Mary Bedingfeld who married Thomas Eyre was the daughter of Sir Henry Bedingfeld and Elizabeth Houghton's son, also Sir Henry Bedingfeld (1614-1684/85), and does not list a daughter Mary of the former Sir Henry Bedingfeld (1586-1657). Given that Mary was born about 1643 (and the fact that the other source takes into account primary sources besides the visitation), it seems likely that she was the daughter of the latter Sir Henry Bedingfeld (1614-1684/85).
