1841 - With parents at the Village, St Martin Fornham, Suffolk. Aged 7, not born in the county. Surname recorded as WALLISS.

1851 - Working as a house servant (one of three) to James BARROW, the Rector of South Lopham.

1861 - Living in Broken Dock, Little Walsingham with husband, one son and her widowed mother-in-law. Aged 26, born at South Lopham, Norfolk.

1871 - With husband and 4 children at Beechamwell St John & St Mary, Norfolk. Aged 36, born at South Lopham, Norfolk.

1872 - Died, aged 38. Mary's memorial stone is made of granite. It reads: In Memory of/ MARY ANN/ the beloved wife of/ JOHN SARE and daughter/ of SETH & SUSAN WALLACE/ who died November 26th/ Aged 38 years/ A loving wife a tender mother dear/ A faithful friend lies buried here/ We hope her soul is now at rest/ With Jesus Christ forever blest.
