SALISBURY AND ALLIED FAMLIES: see S. Wolcott. Her parents not named. AFN: m1. Simon WOLCOTT; m2 Daniel Clarke ANCIENT WINDSOR II,801: Drawing of her gravestone. Note: after being m2 to CLARKE for 32 years, she ended up buried with Simon WOLCOTT. It shows b 1639. FAMILY-HISTORIES & GENEALOGIES (Salisbury) vol 2: to America in search of her bro Wm, to bring him back to Eng. On finding him, she (reportedly) exclaimed: "I left one brother in Eng serving his king and found another in America serving his swine." Apparently she was considered quite a catch, eligable men of Windsor drew lots: S. Wolcott won the right to persue her hand. Her father is not known. PITKIN FAMILY IN AMERICA (A. P. Pitkin, 1887): "of the father of Wm [and Martha] little is known", he was of London. References
