  3. Her husband remarried in 1770 but no such death record for Martha is found in obvious sources, including all the collection of americanancestors.org and familysearch.org, plus generalized searching. Asserted in many secondary sources, but none of significant credibility and basis never identified.
  4. Source:Ross, Emma Howell. Descendants of Edward Howell, Bapt. 1584; D. 1655, p. 27, says that Martha Howell "d. Aug. 22, 1733, in childbirth ... Martha is presumably bur. in Dudley Square Cem. in Roxbury ... Col. Williams m. as his 2nd wife, Abigail, b. 1715, another dau. of Henry...". As mentioned above no death record of Martha is found, no marriage to Abigail is found, and Martha's sister Abigail m. Thomas Foster. This bear no resemblance to reality.
