HOPKINTON - Marion F. (Wardwell) Peoples, 82, of 39 Davis Road, formerly of Westboro, died Friday in Beaumont Nursing Home, Westboro, after a short illness.

Her husband, Lorenzo Peoples, died many years ago. She leaves a son, Richard Williamson of Westboro; two daughters, Edna Johnson of Kennebunk, Maine, and Pauline Goodrich of Westboro; a brother, Ernest Wardwell of Barnard, Vt.; a sister, Bessie Berg of Ira, Vt.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was born in Pittsfield, Vt., daughter of Sumner and Maude (Severance) Wardwell, and lived many years in Westboro and 15 years here.

Mrs. Peoples was a member of the Women's Union Group and the Covenant Group, both of Hopkinton Congregational Church, the Brampton Circle, and the Hopkinton Senior Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rand & Harper Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westboro. The Rev. John L. Camp will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
