Magdelainne LICAIRE, age 5, oldest of the children of Jean LICAIRE & his wife Marie MARBIEAU, living with them and three half-siblings and a full sister, age 3 on the 1788 census of Lafourche. There is also an "engage" named Jean Baptiste LE BLANC, 20. Also: Marie Madelaine, age 9, listed in household of Jean LICAIRE & Marie MARBREAU, with four other children, on the 1791 census of Lafourche des Chetimachas. Also: Magdalena, age 14, living with Juan LICAIRE & Maria MALBROU, with three other children; plus Francisco COMUORE, 30, on the Dec 1795 census of Valenzuela. !CENSUS: 1789, Lafourche area, Louisiana (then a Spanish territory), left bank of river. Name spelled Madelaine LICAIRE, "his daughter", to distinguish from the other children of wife's 1st marriage. Name spelled Magdalena LIQUEUR, of St. James, daughter of Juan & Maria MALBOUR, married on 30 Jun 1804 to Hennrique NAIT of Fort Steven, son of Santiago & Christina ENRILE. Witnesses: Juan MALBROU; Ambroise HEBERT. Recorded in Assumption Church (ASM-2, 95). !CENSUS-DEATH: Merle Ganier, SOME DESCENDANTS OF JACOB KNIGHT OF PENNSYLVANIA AND LOUISIANA; 1734-1988; Author, 1990; p. 8; own copy. Madeline KNIGHT, widow of Henry, Sr., was 68 years old on the 1850 census, living with a sister age 58. On the 1870 census, Mary Madeline KNIGHT, age 87, an invalid, was living with her daughter Emily Madeline KNIGHT BRADLEY, age 50. According to the SANDERS Bible, Mary Magdelaine LIQUEUR died in her 90th years, on 8 Jun 18-- (year not given - 1873?). !MARRIAGE-CHILDREN-DEATH: Elton J. She had eight children and died in her 90th year at Pattersonville [sic] in St. Mary Parish.
