Sturm of the Town of Brisco, county of Marion and state of West virginia make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills made by me, and direct the payment of my just debts. I give, devise and bequeath to Jeannette Parrish, my grand daughter the sum of one thousand dollars to be paid in cash. If there should not be sufficient cash to pay the bequest I request sufficient real estate be sold to make up the amount. If the said Jeannette Parrish should die before reaching the age of twenty-one years then this bequest shall revert back to my heirs. I give devise and bequeath to Howard Shaver my son, the sum of one dollar. I give devise and bequeath to Edward Shaver, my grandson, son of Truman Shaver the sum of one dollar. I give devise and bequeath to Grace Shaver, my granddaughter and daughter of Truman Shaver the sum of one dollar. I give devise and bequeath to Pearl Shaver, my granddaughter and daughter of Truman Shaver the sum of one dollar. The remainder of my estate both real and personal, I request to be divided into five equal shares and to be distributed as follows, that is to say: To William E. Shaver, my son, one share, To Arthur Shaver, my son, one share, To Lloyd Shaver, my son, one share, To Grace Tichenor, my daughter, one share, to Fred Shaver, my grandson, and son of Howard Shaver, one share. I appoint A. J. McDaniel my executor of this my will. Witness my signature, this 27th day of February 1917. Malissa A (X her mark) Sturm Seal, published and declared as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who in her presence, at her request, and in the presence of one another, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, this the 27th day of February, 1917. Sturm of the town of Brisco, county of Marion and State of West Virginia hereby make this codicil to my last will and testament dated on the 27th day of February, 1917, which is to be taken as a part thereof. I revoke the bequest made to Fred Shaver my grandson of one fifth of my estate both real and personal after the payment of the other bequests. I give devise and bequeath to Howard Shaver, my son one-fifth of my estate both real and personal after the payment of the other bequests made, this bequest taking the place of the one made to Fred Shave and hereby revoked this 5th day of March, 1917.
