Mabel Holly Services Held

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 27, 1977, for Mabel Breitsprecher Holly, who died August 24 at the age of 68 years, 5 months, 12 days. The services were held at Schultz's Funeral Home with Pastor R.D. Ehlers officiating.

Mabel Holly was born March 12, 1909, on a farm near St. Olaf, Iowa, to Edward and Alvina Junk Breitsprecher. She was baptized at the Clayton Center Lutheran Church and confirmed at St. John Lutheran, Farmersburg. She attended school in the area.

She was married to Walter Holly April 11, 1934.

For the past 18 years she has lived in McGregor and worked at the Scenic Hotel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter, who died in 1958.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mahala Schmalfeld of Guttenberg, Mrs. Alvin Lamker (Cora) of Monona and Mrs. Harvey Priem (Florence) of Garnavillo and nieces and nephews.

Interment was in the Monona City Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Donald Lamker, Owen Pufahl, Duane Lamker, Don Priem, Lloyd, Matt and Elmer Holly.
