Mûkrîmā (Sitt-î Mükrime) Khātûn, (1435–1467), was the third wife of Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II, the daughter of Süleyman Bey, the sixth ruler of Dulkadir State, and the biological mother of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II.[1] She married to Mehmed II at the age of eleven on 15 December 1446. She gave birth to her son Bayezid II on 3 December 1447. Since the biological mother Sitti Mûkrîmā Khātûn of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II had died fourteen years before his accession to the Ottoman throne, Amina Gul-Bahar acquired the equivalent title of Valide Sultan (since Ayşe Hafsa Sultan being the First Valide Sultan as equivalent to the Queen Mother) for eleven years as the widow hatun of Mehmed II and the stepmother of the eighth Ottoman Sultan, namely Bayezid II.
