Lydia Perry Daughter of Josiah & Bethiah Perry was born Decemb'r : 8th : 1711.

  2. Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 13, contradicts himself by saying Lydia d. 23 Nov 1752, but then saying John mentions her in his will dated 9 Jan 1756. She did indeed live past 1752, and was still alive, and a widow, in 1760, as shown by John's probate documents.

Bond doesn't identify Lydia Perry, wife of John Ball, nor does he give a marriage for Lydia, daughter of Josiah & Bethiah Perry on p. 403. But she is the only Lydia in the area old enough to marry in 1739, but young enough to have several children through Joseph in 1751. She named a son Josiah (her only daughter named Mary probably to honor John's deceased 2nd wife so no chance to use Bethiah), and her father Josiah Perry ended up in Worcester, providing significant circumstantial evidence this is the proper identification.
