Luke Dugger was born ca 1779/1780 per his age of 70 on the 1850 census. He was born somewhere in Virgina (same source), probably Dinwiddie County, or possibly Brunswick County.

He isn't a proven child of John Dugger, Surry, but he did go to Sumner Co., TN so that shows a probable connection.

On 26 Apr 1800 Luke Dugger obtained a marriage bond in Sumner Co., TN to marry "Isbel Gibs."

"Luke Duger" was listed on the 1809 Sumner Co., TN tax list with 100 acres.

The 1810 census is lost.

Luke Dugger was listed on the 1816 Sumner Co., TN tax list with 100 acres between Station Camp and Drakes Creek.

He was also listed on the 1817-1821 tax lists in Sumner County.

He was listed on the 1820 census in Sumner County near his parents.
