Louise was married to Theodore (Ted) Hechsel Sept. 11, 1929, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany, by the Rev. Theo. Rolf. Their marriage was blessed with two children.

Louise and Ted made their home and their living on a farm south of Howard Lake. Louise loved to garden, and enjoyed keeping the whole yard beautiful with her various plantings and rows of zinnia flowers.

It was a special occasion when she and Ted could get away up north for a couple of days. Spending time with her grandchildren was also very important to Louise.

A celebration of Louise's life took place Monday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake with the Revs. Martin Schoenfeld and Michael Nirva officiating. Louise's granddaughter, Diane Johnson served as organist, and special music was provided by her great-grandchildren, Tom and Tara Johnson. Interment was at the Howard Lake Cemetery.
