Union, Nov. 1, 2003: PEABODY, Mass. - Louise T. (Durkee) Curran, 86, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Woburn, Mass., the daughter of the late Milford and Margaret (MacInnes) Durkee. She was raised in Woburn and had resided in Seabrook for 26 years before moving to Peabody six years ago. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School, Woburn. Mrs. Curran was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her husband were founders of the Senior Citizens in Seabrook and she was a member of the Roger B. Trask Day Care Center at the Peabody Life Center. She enjoyed traveling and reading. The widow of Joseph R. Curran, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald J. and Ellin Curran of Peabody and the Rev. John M. Curran, O.M.I., of Tiajuana, Mexico; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Connolly of Woburn and Edna Gallagher of Orleans, Mass. She was predeceased by one sister, Vera McElligott. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. References
