After death of Sarah, he married Lorinda Elzroth. She was the widow of William Fletcher Brady. Brady was brought to Tipton by Newton to work for him. He died and left Lorinda with two children, Carthon J. and Samuel J. - when Lorinda married Newton, both boys came into Newtons home as step children. Lorinda delivered two children, Willard and James. James died at 2 yrs old. After Newton died, Lorinda married David Josph Kemp. She outlived David and she came to Rhode Island to live with her son, Willard. (long story - Willard was a fascinating person, self made and kept a diary for each year of his life)." References
