LIFE SUMMARY: Grew up in Cloud County, KS and spent early years of married life there. Accompanied husband, Raymond to Los Angeles during World War II, where he worked in an aircraft factory. They moved back to Kansas. She had a beauty salon there. They returned to Los Angeles in the 1950's and lived in Hawthorne for many years before retiring to Anza. She had a beauty salon attached to her home in Hawthorne for many years there. This was at 13313 Prairie Avenue. After Raymond died, she moved to Hemet, CA, where she lived for several years until her death.

PLACE OF BIRTH: Marjorie thought Lois was born at the Taylor Home Place. Lois says she was born at the Millirons place.

Lois Drury, former Concordian, died Oct 1, 1997, at her home in Hemet, Calif. She owned and operated the Lo-Ra Beauty Salon in Concordia for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Concordia. Survivors include a son, Fred Drury of California, two sisters, Margaret Nolan of San Jacinto, Calif, and Jeanne Kraemer of Denver; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and one great-grandson."
