Obituary

Lois Margaret McMullen, born on June 22, 1921, recently passed away on Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was raised on a farm near Wallace, Indiana, along with two brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Wallace High School in 1940 and worked for Western Union and then Delco Remy. After WWII she married Lowell McMullen on February 28, 1946 at the Mace United Methodist Church.

They resided on his family farm near New Ross, Indiana for more than 50 years, where thy raised three children. Lois was known for her generosity and love of family and friends. She also loved to write poetry and published her works in a book titled "Next Time Your're in The Garden". She will missed by many. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Arista McGinnis and Elmer McGinnis, and one sister, Gladys.

Mrs. McMullen is survived by three children, Denis Hutchinson of Cartersville,Ga., Dwain McMullen of Woodbridge, Va., and David McMullen of Jacksonville, Fl.;her seven grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Selby of Crawfordsville, IN.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4th at Mace United Methodist Church in Indiana; where she and Lowell were long time members; with Rev. Roger Ward officiating. Lois will be laid to rest in the Mace Cemetery alongside Lowell.
