  2.   Estherville – Services for Lloyd Eastman, 93, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong with Rev. Marshall Monthei officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. He died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1991 at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong.

    Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Monday.

    Lloyd Hildreth Eastman was born Sept. 14, 1898 at Estherville, the son of Clarence and Abigail (Beal) Eastman. After graduating from Estherville Schools, he attended Iowa State University in Ames for one year. He married Gladys F. Manley on Sept. 5, 1923 in Armstrong. The couple lived in the Armstrong area their entire married life where Lloyd owned and operated his farm.

    He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Odd Fellows Lode. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.

    Survivors include his wife, Gladys, Armstrong; one son, Robert C. Eastman of Armstrong; three daughters, Mrs. John (Muriel) Krough, Waseca, Minn.; Mrs. Ray (Velma) Yongeberg, Princeton, Mo.; Mrs. Don [Iva] Mortenson, Fairmont, Minn.; one brother Aubrey Eastman, Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Art (Evelyn) Lewis, Owatonna, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, one son (Harlan J.) three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 2, 1991)
